Terms of service
The terms governing access to Evidently scans, reports, and related public services.
01
Permitted use
You may submit a website only when you are authorized to assess it or when the assessment is otherwise lawful. An active product test may run only against a product you control, an account covered by a testing contract, a surface whose published terms authorize the specific automation, or a target for which written permission has been obtained. You must not use Evidently to overload a service, bypass access controls, CAPTCHA or MFA, obtain restricted information, or facilitate unlawful surveillance.
02
Active-test authority
You represent that the recorded authorization status for each active target is accurate and current. You remain responsible for product fees, test-account activity, test prompts, and compliance with the target service’s terms. We may disable a recipe or refuse a run when authorization is unclear, an interaction barrier appears, or the product interface changes.
03
Nature of reports
Reports describe technical evidence observable at the time of testing. They are not legal advice, regulatory certification, a guarantee of compliance, or a substitute for professional review. A result such as “NOT OBSERVED” means only that the named control was not observed by the stated recipe and detectors; it does not prove universal absence or legal non-compliance. Laws, guidance, product behavior, and technical signals can change.
04
Availability
We may limit, suspend, or refuse scans to protect target websites and service integrity. Free scanning is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every page, asset, provenance claim, or disclosure will be detected.
05
Responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions made from a report and for independently validating material findings. To the extent permitted by law, Evidently is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
